Είμαι η Dr. Catherine Kyriakidi Turnbull, ειδική παιδαγωγός, κοινωνική λειτουργός και ερευνήτρια, με πολυετή εμπειρία στην εκπαίδευση και υποστήριξη ατόμων με αυτισμό και αναπηρία. Αυτή τη στιγμή ολοκληρώνω το διδακτορικό μου στην Ειδική Αγωγή, με έμφαση στη διάγνωση και παρέμβαση στον αυτισμό, ενώ έχω εξειδικευθεί σε μεθόδους όπως SCERTS, TEACCH, PECS, SOS Feeding Therapy και Sensory-Based Learning.
Τι κάνω
Ως ιδρύτρια του Puzzle ΚΔΑΠ ΑμεΑ, δημιούργησα έναν καινοτόμο, πιστοποιημένο χώρο όπου παιδιά και ενήλικες με αναπηρία λαμβάνουν εξατομικευμένη εκπαίδευση, θεραπευτική υποστήριξη και ενίσχυση δεξιοτήτων. Το Puzzle ΚΔΑΠ ΑμεΑ εφαρμόζει δομημένες, πολυαισθητηριακές και βιωματικές μεθόδους διδασκαλίας, προσαρμοσμένες στις ανάγκες κάθε μαθητή, δημιουργώντας ένα ασφαλές, συμπεριληπτικό και λειτουργικό μαθησιακό περιβάλλον.
Επιπλέον, είμαι Πρόεδρος και Επιστημονικά Υπεύθυνη του Κέντρου Ειδικών Θεραπειών & Κλινικής Σίτισης "Φάσμα Ανάπτυξης", το οποίο παρέχει ολιστικές θεραπευτικές υπηρεσίες σε παιδιά με αυτισμό και άλλες αναπτυξιακές διαταραχές. Στο "Φάσμα Ανάπτυξης" εφαρμόζουμε σύγχρονες θεραπευτικές προσεγγίσεις, όπως:

🔹 Αισθητηριακή Ολοκλήρωση & Θεραπευτική Παρέμβαση
🔹 SOS Feeding Therapy για παιδιά με διαταραχές σίτισης
🔹 Ψυχολογική υποστήριξη και συμβουλευτική γονέων
🔹 Εκπαίδευση παιδαγωγών και θεραπευτών σε καινοτόμες μεθόδους παρέμβασης
Παράλληλα, ως ARP Phase Leader στο Thomas Arnold Primary School στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, ηγούμαι μιας εξειδικευμένης μονάδας για μαθητές με αυτισμό, σχεδιάζοντας και υλοποιώντας προγράμματα που προάγουν την επικοινωνία, την ανεξαρτησία και τη γνωστική ανάπτυξη.
Η φιλοσοφία μου
Πέρα από την άμεση εκπαιδευτική και θεραπευτική παρέμβαση, δραστηριοποιούμαι ενεργά στην εκπαίδευση και εποπτεία εκπαιδευτικών και επαγγελματιών ειδικής αγωγής σε Ελλάδα και Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο.
🔹 Επιμορφώνω εκπαιδευτικό προσωπικό σε σύγχρονες μεθόδους ειδικής αγωγής, παρέχοντας σεμινάρια, εργαστήρια και εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα βασισμένα σε τεκμηριωμένες πρακτικές.
🔹 Προσφέρω εποπτεία και καθοδήγηση σε ειδικούς παιδαγωγούς, θεραπευτές και επαγγελματίες, βοηθώντας τους να εφαρμόσουν δομημένες και εξατομικευμένες παρεμβάσεις στους μαθητές τους.
🔹 Συνεργάζομαι με σχολεία, δομές ειδικής αγωγής και γονείς, παρέχοντας συμβουλευτικές υπηρεσίες, αξιολογήσεις και εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα προσαρμοσμένα στις ανάγκες κάθε μαθητή.
Πιστεύω ότι η εκπαίδευση και η θεραπεία πρέπει να είναι προσβάσιμες και ουσιαστικές για όλους. Στόχος μου είναι να δημιουργώ ευκαιρίες μάθησης και ανάπτυξης, τόσο για μαθητές όσο και για εκπαιδευτικούς και θεραπευτές, προσφέροντας τις απαραίτητες γνώσεις και εργαλεία για μια αποτελεσματική, συμπεριληπτική και εξατομικευμένη προσέγγιση.
